In this area there will be whatever you upload as content01.html The formatting that you have in content1.html will be preserved and shown exactly like you have written it. However, you CAN use HTML tags! The tag for bold is <B>This is Bold. To turn the BOLD off, use </b> If you want to increase the font size, use <font size=+1>One size larger. To turn that off, use </font>
The same, of course also works for +2, +3, etc. To change the color, use <font color="blue">to get blue text and </font> to turn that off again. Don't worry about the tags showing. Normally those angle brackets, and whatever is between them, does not show. I am using special tricks to show them here. To change the face of the font, use this tag: <font face="Comic-SansMS">This is a very casual font</font>

To insert an image, list the image source:
<img src="brand300.jpg">
Pictures can also be used as links. To link this picture to the large 800 x 600 size version of it, put a link tag around it. <a href="brand800.jpg"><img src="brand300.jpg"></a>

To link to a page, use this format:
<a href="pagename.html">Page Title</a>

<BR> gives you an extra line BReak. To start a new page, open index.html and save it under a new name, for example midnight.html

Then look for this line:
<!--#include file="content1.html" --> change content1.html to content-midnight.html and upload the page. Now you just have to write the content part, name it content-midnight.html and upload it. When you view the page, the framework will pull in the content. It will also pull in the header, footer and side menu. That brings us to the final part, the side menu.

Download side.html and add midnight.html in the same manner as the other menu items are already in there. There is one very important thing to keep in mind. ALWAYS download stuff before editing. That is a habit that you have to get fanatic about, or else you will be doing some major cussing some day. Especially if you access your site from more than one location, or if you have somebody collaborating with you, then the old copy that you have on your computer might not be the current version. If you overwrite the current version with an edited old version, then the current version is lost for good and can not be retrieved. Once you are comfortable with what is on this page, you know more than most people remember from a typical one year web design course. There are lots more fancy tags available. If and when you actually do need them for special effects, you can look them up at the HTMLclinic To edit this content area, edit content01.html
